Pastor Charlie Muller of Victory Christian Church is spearheading relief efforts

First, Hurricane Helene slammed into the Gulf Coast, devastating communities in Florida, Georgia, North & South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia. Barely two weeks later, another catastrophic storm is about to wreak havoc across Florida. 

Hurricane Milton is a category 5 storm, which is about as severe as it gets. Winds in excess of 150mph and storm surges of 10 to 15 feet are expected. 

So what can we do from here in the Capital Region?  

Pastor Charlie Muller of Victory Christian Church along with Jezreel International in Albany have mobilized a supply drive and a network to get items distributed to those who need it most. Over the last two weeks, Pastor Charlie has successfully arranged for four tractor trailers to deliver much needed items to hurricane victims in North Carolina. 

The need will be great, so here's a list of items you can donate to help: 

• Baby Supplies (formula, diapers, wipes)
• Cleaning Supplies (bleach, mops, brooms, PineSol, masks, sponges, disinfectants)
• New beds, cots, unused blankets
• Portable toilets, generators, tents, chainsaws, solar powered chargers
• Flashlights, batteries
• New socks, underwear and other unused clothing items
• Paper towels, toilet paper
• Rubber gloves, garbage bags, lawn leaf bags, shovels
• Cooking utensils, disposable plates, cups, cutlery
• First aid kits, bandages, ointments, tape

Items can be dropped off at two different locations: 

1. Victory Christian Church at 1312 Central Avenue in Colonie

2. Jezreel International, 10 Interstate Avenue in Colonie
