The child may be in imminent danger
Update 9:26am Monday - The Times Union is reporting that Persia Nelson, the mother of the 11 month old baby has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and is expected to be arraigned this morning.
Update 4:57pm: Sadly, police have confirmed 11 month old Halo Branton has died and a criminal investigation is underway
Update 1:49pm: The Times Union and News 10 provided a further update that the baby was found in a shed on the GE campus. The child has been taken to the hospital, however her condition is not known. State Police originally stated in a post that the baby was in good health, however that has been changed to say she has been located.
Update 1:24pm: The Times Union reports the baby has been found and is in good health. The circumstances surrounding the disappearance remain unclear.
Update 1:03pm: The Schenectady Police Department has canceled the Amber Alert, no details have been provided as of yet. Developing.
Update 12:36pm: Schenectady Police are asking anyone in the area of 12th Street at Campbell Ave who may have video from their Ring Doorbell to upload video via the QR code below.
Schenectady and New York State Police are searching for 10 month old Halo Branton, last seen around 9:15pm on Saturday March 9th. She is a black female with black hair and hazel eyes and was wearing white sweatpants with brown & tan flowers, a longsleeve, light pink shirt with a butterfly design, and had a Minnie Mouse blanket. Her last known location was 12th Street at Campbell Ave in Schenectady.
Police believe the child may be in imminent danger.
